Hi everyone! Just wondering how many of you are qualified/trained first aiders? And why you decided to become one? Or maybe why you aren't one? I'm currently trained in basic first aid as well in emergency life support for all ages and I think it's essential really, you never know when you might need it! You could potentially save somebody's life!

I remember once in middle school we had to do a basic first aide course in health class. Though because of our age at the time after the training I don't think we received any type of certificate saying we were qualified as first aiders. It was so long ago I don't remember much of it anyways, I just remember pretty well the CPR part of the course, so I'd be able to save someone's life if it came down to that. Now looking back on it I wish I would've paid more attention to everything. Just had to add my 2 cents! (:

That's pretty interesting actually because I genuinely believe it should be integrated into schools. They teach you about some absolutely useless things and especially in UK schools, they teach you some things that are an absolute waste of time when you're younger. I really think that if first aid was taught to every child at school, it would be great! Every child would be able to have the knowledge of even the basic concepts (e.g. recovery position, checking vital signs, CPR) and so even this is more than helpful in a variety of situations. So It's good to know that at least some schools do actually do this.
